Our Temenos founds and opens new Circular Construction Hub
Today New York City Economic Development Corporation announced the launch of the Circular Construction Hub, an initiative founded and led by Rosemarie Miner of Our Temenos. The HUB has a one year pilot lease and is focused on the storage, redistribution, reuse, and resale of construction materials, creating a pathway to keep valuable resources in circulation rather than sending them to landfill. As part of the Ideas for Impact RFEI, New York City Economic Development Corporation is providing the space for us to test and refine what it takes to scale circular construction across NYC.
True to our nature, Our Temenos is pushing the limits of the status quo across our industry with a commitment to utilizing all possible resources to solve a problem at its root. This initiative will allow many to learn by our doing.
Since NYCEDC launched their Circular Design & Construction Guidelines, the consistent feedback from industry partners was, “if we want material reuse to become commonplace, we need the supply chain connections that make it practical for project teams to participate.” The Circular Construction Hub at MADE is our next step in testing those solutions.
